April 2023 General Meeting

March Art Demo – Smash Mosaic

Our art demo for March was a great success! Many thanks to Sheila Stoll for letting us break things and put together our own mosaics!

April Art Demo

For our April Meeting we will be doing something different – Art Bargains. Do you have any art supplies in good condition that you’re not going to use, but that someone else might benefit from? Bring them to the meeting for an art swap! You might find a treasure for yourself, and help someone else discover something that will help them out. Brushes, canvases, frames, paints, pastels, books, DVDs, etc. – bring them in!

Spring 2023 Art Show and Competition

So far our upcoming Art Show doesn’t have many entries. If you have any pieces of art work that you would like to submit, please click on this link to register your entry with LSAG. Remember, our registration fees will help to contribute to a scholarship for a deserving art student! Don’t hesitate to print out and share our show poster with your friends and family.

Creative Challenge due in May

And please don’t forget the upcoming Creative Challenge! The theme is
SPRING WITHOUT THE GREEN. So no mixing blue and yellow together! Remember, the prize for the winner will be a $50 certificate from Jerry’s Artarama!

Show and Tell

Do you have some art that you’re working on that you would like to share with the group? Maybe you’re stuck on something and would like some positive feedback and suggestions? Bring it to the meeting!

Suggestions For the Future

If there is something new you would like to see – some new activity, new media, etc. – feel free to bring it up at the meeting. Or even better, write it down for us! We welcome fresh input from fresh minds!
