Our art is now on display at the office of Dr. Nunnery at Kingwood Medical Center. The doctor and her staff were very excited and helpful as we arranged pieces of artwork in the waiting area and hallways of her office. There is already interest in purchasing some of our paintings!
The best news is that there is still room for at least 25 more works of art in the office! We have an appointment to revisit the display on January 3, 2019 with more art. So if you missed the opportunity to hang your work here, you will have another chance! Stay tuned for further details about this event!
To All Our Members,
We have just heard of a marvelous new location for the display of our artwork! A local doctor, Dr. Nunnery, who has an office behind Kingwood Medical Center, is very eager for us to hang our art in her office for display and sale. There is a generous amount of wall space there, so we could probably accommodate quite a few pieces.
We will be at the office on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. to receive and hang your art. The address is:
Nunnery & Daniels
22710 Professional Dr. #202
Kingwood, TX 77339
PLEASE let us know by Friday, December 14, 2018 if you will be bringing in your art, and tell us how many pieces you will have, so we can plan how everything will be arranged. Respond to:
We and Dr. Nunnery are very excited to be able to offer you this new venue!
P.S. If you have never submitted a short artist bio to us, please be sure to put one together and bring it or email it. It doesn’t need to be long.
Hoping to see you next Thursday!
Our Artwork is on Display at the Kingwood Public Library Again!
At the request of the library, our society has brought some of our art pieces to display on their wall once again. A notable addition is the wall of student art, contributed by some of our new student members. Thank you, kids!
On Wednesday, June 27 at 4:00 p.m. the Kingwood Public Library will hold its official grand opening. The Lake Houston Area Artists are invited to attend as their guests. All of our members are welcome to attend, whether you have art hanging here or not.
Lets come help celebrate the return of our library!
Kingwood Public Library is Back!
Not only is the library ready to come back, but they are very eager to have our art on their wall again! On Monday, June 18 at 9:00 a.m. we are invited to bring pieces of art to the library to hang on their wall. Any member who has volunteered to help us out is welcome to bring a piece of art (make sure it’s ready to hang) for display. If you help us on the 18th with the hanging, that counts!
Of course it’s summer, and many of us are away on vacation or involved with summer activities, but let’s see how many works of art we can bring in to decorate the library.
And please mark your calendar for the library’s Grand Opening on Wednesday, June 27, at 4:00 p.m. We are invited to attend!

In Answer to Your Questions About Our Art Exhibition at Webb Gallery:
Remember: You MUST let Lynda know how many pieces you will be bringing before May 10, so she can have the right number of hooks available! (Her email address is given above)
Don’t forget your brief bio (with picture).
Here are more detailed instructions for bringing in your art today:
Today at 2:00 p.m. is our appointment time to bring in our art to the rehab unit at Kingwood Medical Center.
When coming into the hospital, the unit is Building A, which is the northernmost end of the hospital. If coming from 59 going north, take the Kingwood exit and turn left and go under the overpass. Go to the first stop sign, turn left and do a “U” turn and you will see the emergency room entrance. Take that entrance and wiggle around until you see the end of building A, which is the end building. You will see a wooden type fencing next to the building. The door to the left of the fencing is the door that will be left open for us to enter and take in our paintings. When you enter, you will see a room to your right with windows and that will be the room where we will lay or place our paintings. It’s a meeting room of sorts with tables and chairs. Easy to see and find. The hospital personnel will hang our paintings for us.
We may park temporarily in the “illegal” parking area, which is in front of the door that will be open, long enough to drop off our art.
On the front of your paintings we will have tags to place, as well as inventory sheets, so bring a pen to write with and scissors with which to cut the tags. If you choose to price your art, the price must be placed on the back of your art along with your name or business card. The hospital would like for us to have the name of the painting, your name and phone number on the front of the painting if you choose to, or on the back if you prefer. In the event that a painting is sold, the buyer will call you personally, then Ruth Dewey will call Eric to set up a time to come and make the purchase and get the art, and hopefully replace it with another piece.
Bring in as much art as you want. You can bring more later by getting in touch with Ruth Dewey. Please remember to contact us (LHAA Board, by email) if you want to pick up your art to take it or replace it with another painting later. Ruth will set up an appointment for you.
We have Devon Alexander and Eric Anderson to give many thanks to for this opportunity to display our art and just get the word out that we are back in action and ready to go. Make Art Great Again!
