February Demo Artist: Melanie Wade Leslie – Part 2 – How to Incorporate Photo Transfers Into Mixed Media
Due to a family emergency, Sheila Stoll will not be able to do her art demo at our February meeting. In her place, Melanie Wade Leslie, who was last October’s demo artist, will continue her demonstration. In Part 2 she will concentrate on incorporating photo transfers into your mixed media art.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
Melanie Wade Leslie is an experimental cross-media artist and printmaker with an affinity for color and texture. Her work has evolved over the past two and a half decades into more experimental combinations of drawing, painting and printmaking media, frequently embodying the historically iconic and metaphorically rich imagery of the horse. Focusing upon the unique and universal attributes of legendary equus, Melanie pursues an expressive manifestation of symbolic echoes, germinated out of inter-species collaboration that invites a dialog with the human spirit.
