Our September Demo Artist is Golda Rader – Creativity Squared

The artwork of nationally known area decorative painter, designer, teacher and mixed media artist, Golda Rader is featured throughout the month of January at the Conroe Art League’s Gallery at the Madeley Building in downtown Conroe, in an exhibit titled “Women.” Don’t miss Golda’s imaginative, thought-provoking and brilliantly executed images of women rendered in mixed media, acrylics, pastels and “zentangle” for this special January exhibit. Golda is a Certified Decorative Painter with the National Society of Decorative Painters and upon receipt of teacher certification, introduced the greater Conroe area to the art of “zentangle.” Golda has been producing art since childhood, even winning a full scholarship to study art at the University of Houston. With a little time out to be a wife and mother, Golda has produced art and taught painting, mixed media, colored pencil, and more recently zentangle, for more than twenty years. She has taught art classes at 24 national art conventions throughout the US, and for four years led online art classes with as many as 400 students at a time. For the past five years, Golda has taught painting, mixed media, colored pencil and zentangle for the Conroe Art League and even found time to donate her vast artistic skills to help residents of the Bremond Nursing Home explore their own artistic potential.

Art Changeout at Kingwood Public Library is Monday, September 23, 2019

We will be changing the art at Kingwood Public Library on Monday, September 23, 2019.  We will start at 10:30 a.m.  If you have art hanging at the library, be prepared to take it home with you.  If you have helped us as a volunteer during the season you may bring some new pieces to hang.  Remember, your art must be ready to hang, with picture wire – NOT the toothed hangers.  Our art display occupies one whole wall on the second floor of the library, and we rotate the pieces every 3-4 months.  Anyone interested in buying the art they see can contact the artist using the information on the label each of us fills out when we hang our work.

Our Fall Art Show and Competition Will Be Saturday, October 26, 2019

For Artists Who Have Work On Display at Walden Which They Want to Enter Into the Show:
